“The acrid smell of cigarette fills the rehearsal room, faces and noises are mixed in the light of a single neon light that casts shadows and spirals of smoke that slowly dance toward the ceiling, slightly nudged from the violent noise of the music covering every laugh, every memory, and beats like your heart that, you are certain, will burst in your throat with the next chord…”

“Smoking Allowed” is a project developed between 2006 and 2008 following the Division Syphon, a new wave band from Reggio Emilia, during the process of music composition and their sessions in the rehearsal room.
